Embossing on Glass

Hi all and thanks for stopping by today!
Today I am going to share with you a super easy tutorial on embossing on glass. I thought this would be something different for a change and hope you all enjoy it.
So I had this glass pumpkin candy dish that I picked up super cheap last year after Halloween. And I really wanted to do something to dress it up. I have never tried embossing on glass before so I thought I would give it a try. For now all I have done is decorate the lid and that is what I am going to share with you today.
So to start with I took my WOW! Embossing Pen and inked the stem up really good. I then poured Metalline Green all over it. One thing I found out during this process is that it takes awhile for the powder to heat up and melt on the glass. So be patient when you are using your heat gun to get the powder completely melted.

Next I took my WOW! Embossing Pen and drew really thick lines down the groves of the lid and then sprinkled them with Black Glint. I used a paint brush to brush off any extra powder that I didn't want on the lid before I heated up the powder.
I then added a little burlap, some wire that I coiled up, and a Tim Holtz embellishment to finish it out. Now its ready to fill with candy come October!!

Well, I hope you all enjoyed my post today and be sure to come back to tomorrow to see what Irit has to share. Until next time!!

Warmly,
Sherrie!!
